What's wrong with this picture?
Take a close look at the 14 contestants in the World's Ugliest Dog Contest, to be held Friday at the Sonoma-Marin Fair northwest of San Francisco. Personally, I believe that all canines are beautiful, having been created in God's image. But come on; this is just wrong. That last one looks like me!

This is an outrage! The owner does not deserve to own a pug if they feel this way!!!
It's an insult! Everyone knows that the noble Pug is the most handsome breed!
Perhaps the Pug was included to act as a 'control' or to determine margin of error... hmmmm...

How dare they! I can see why the other dogs are in the contest, but a pug? Give me a freakin break! I hope that Brody is right.
I like em all. I like Elwood the best. He just hits a soft spot in my heart.
Oscar the pug is in the wrong contest. He should be in the cutest dog contest for sure.

Well, my faithful flock, I don't know if I would call the pug the single most handsome breed. I believe all canines are beautiful, having been created in God's image. Our noble friend Brody has quite a handsome war face, for example, as do Uncivil's furry friends. But that pug was clearly out of place in the contest. Still, a win by Oscar might provide just the spark we need for the Pugistan secession movement ...
