Taking a bite out of the Big Apple

I am leaving for New York on Saturday to drum up support for our Pugistan secession movement. I will address the U.N. General Assembly next week. The French seem quite receptive to the idea, but Condoleezza Rice will no doubt try to thwart our plans. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to see or do in Manhattan while I'm not engaging in diplomacy?

Oh Great One, I so admire your efforts in this grand cause. Blessings to you on your journey to New York.

And if you want to distract Ms. Rice, throw some expensive shoes far away from yourself. I hear she likes those.

Hey, Your Emminence, you called the nation Pugistan!! Does this mean I can stop voting daily for that name?

I like the idea of voting early and often. I'm going to try it during the next presidential election!

Have a great time in NYC!

PS: Perhaps while you are in New York you might run into Kirk Cameron and discuss whether Muslim pugs (even those as honorable and as august as you, Ayatolla) get to go to heaven in the rapture, or whether you'll be Left Behind!!!

Tollah, don't fall in love with any NYC ladies while strolling Central Park. They will be high maintenance and spend all your cookies.

Thanks, Chackler. I will put the botanical gardens on my list. Hopefully I will have time to go there.

Thank you for the advice, Tyler. I will try the Imelda Marcos strategy if Condi gets out of line.

Yes, Dr. Mike. Pugistan, it is. Our voting system is vaguely democratic, but it rewards those who work hardest. It would be interesting to run into Kirk Cameron, but honestly, I'd prefer to meet his Growing Pains co-star Boner. He was the glue that held that cast together.

Advice noted, Ragus Pug's Mama. And thanks for the new nickname. I like it.

Peace be upon you all. Hopefully I will return with good news.
