What is it?
Does anyone know what this lizard/amphibian/dinosaur is? I spotted it in my grandparents' driveway in Oklahoma City a few days ago. I tried to minister to the roughly 8-inch-long creature, but it adopted a rather menacing pose when I approached it, its tail arching upward. Needless to say, my hackles shot skyward. It didn't look like the typical Oklahoma City wildlife, so I surmised that perhaps it was an escaped or abandoned pet. Surely one of the amateur herpetologists of the congregation can identify this monster.

Mugsy, I've lived in Oklahoma all my life and have never seen a creature such as this before. Very intersting though.
Looks like some type of gecko. Too bad you couldn't befriend it--it seems they make good corporate spokesmen.
I agree with chackler, He must have flown in from Europe courtesy of the CIA.
It may be a gecko, but I haven't been able to find any photos on the Internet of geckos with markings like that. It may also be some kind of CIA experiment gone awry. Until we are able to come to a concrete conclusion, I believe it is best to assume that I have discovered a new species. We will call it the Mugosaurus.
I fear that it might have been one of Mohamed ElBaradei's henchman disguised to pique your curiosity. Thank God you did not fall into it's trap!
Interesting theory, TransplantedOkie. If it is true that ElBaradei found me at my grandparents' house, it could only mean one thing: There is a traitor in our midst.
That is clearly a salamander. Don't listen to the others. They know nothing.
I'm thinkin' you should check out the guy who has his face blurred. I'm just sayin'....
I believe we have a winner.
My path to spiritual enlightenment is forged in oxygen deprivation. This, my friends, is how I know the salamander.
