Mystery at the compound

I can't quite put my paw on it, but something strange is afoot at the ayatollah compound. My parents seem to be up to some sort of shenanigans, and I suspect that we are in for a major change. Yet they have been mysteriously tight-lipped. Are they preparing a surprise feast for me? Will they be quitting their jobs and moving me to an Italian villa better befitting my status as the world's foremost canine religious authority? Or perhaps their motives are more sinister -- could they be plotting against the ministry? I don't want to jump to conclusions, but their behavior is beginning to worry me. Secrets are meant to be the ayatollah's domain only. So I have called in a private investigator to get to the bottom of this. Godspeed, Sherlock Bones.

My two cocker spaniels had the same feeling once. Then they suddenly had a new brother and sister, the JRT's. Maybe you're about to get a little brother or sister.

Or maybe they have won the lottery and are surprsing you with the Pug Nation Compound you so richly deserve!

Your parents are lovely humans and I am sure they love you without bounds. Maybe they are planning another great trip to some exotic place and they want to surprise you.

GAAAAAAA! Ayatollah, please forgive me for forgetting all about my winning bid for the delightful Ayatollah thing I bid on.

Seems eBay has my old email address, which I haven't checked in months. I didn't realize I won! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I just finished paying for said item.

Please be merciful, o merciful one!

Interesting theories, all. I will pass them on to Sherlock Bones.

I am always merciful, Sarah O., especially toward those who provide financial support to the ministry. Your masterpiece is on its way.

If anyone can get to the bottom of this it's Sherlock Bones. Unless he starts himself on fire again. Oy!

I suspect your family is intending to adopt a pug puppy. Recently I was fortunate to overhear the mother of Eagle and I discussing the fact that our father has given her the blessing to adopt a black pug puppy, but under the condition that it be named Cowboy. I think he's really smart because so far, no new pug puppy has shown up at our house.
