Whatchu talkin' bout, Allah?
Today, the world lost a legend. The great Gary Coleman has passed away. His charm, charisma and impeccable comedic timing made him a star in the late 1970s and 1980s. Unlike many series of that period, Diff'rent Strokes has stood the test of time. The episodes still hold up, at least those that were shot before the introduction of that red-headed, country-music-singing infidel Sam. And in truth, even the Great Fire-Haired Satan couldn't completely bring the show down, as long as Coleman got to deliver a few one-liners.
Gary Coleman made me smile. He made me laugh. And today, his passing makes me sad. Sure, he peaked as a child actor. But what a peak it was.
Rest in peace, Gary.
